Wakoopa is a social network based on application use. The service allows you to befriend other users and see what applications they are using. The main element in the whole process is the application tracker, Wakoopa 1.0.7, which is a small application that monitors your computer and reports back to Wakoopa with the applications that you use. The tracker grabs a lot of information about those applications. It will measure for how long you use the applications, which are the main applications that you use, which seem to be your favorite, etc. Wakoopa tracker will then upload all that information to the website and create statistics that you and your friends can see. Based on those usage statistics, Wakoopa will be able to recommend better applications than those that you are using, if any exists. Other than suggesting software that "you might like," Wakoopa also tells you when you can get new versions of your applications, so that you can download them. The tracker is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, and its sole function is to scan your application usage habits and report back to Wakoopa.
